The Relev’ Platter (2021) makes a striking centerpiece on a dining table, coffee table, or kitchen counter. Simply shaped, the sculpted acacia wood form, with its elevated base and upward curving edges, appears to float on air while cradling the contents within. Designed by Colin King for Menu. Designer Nicholai Wiig Hansen drew inspiration for his bright Raawii Str’ Vase (2016) from still lifes by Danish modernist artist Vilhelm Lundstr’, evoking the vibrant color palette found in much of Lundstr”s work. Handmade using a slip-cast technique, it marries refined simplicity with everyday functionality. Made in Portugal.

Based in Milan, Stories of Italy is a design studio that uses time-honored techniques to create beautifully crafted modern objects. Their Nougat Collection resulted from experiments reusing pieces of Murano blown glass, resulting in one-of-a-kind vases, bowls, and glasses that feature a mix of transparent colored shards against an opaque white background.
