Danish designers Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen and Kasper R’n named their company to express their dedication to ‘working with Danish norms and standards refined over hundreds of years,’ says Bjerre-Poulsen, ‘rather than rejecting them in the endless search for new.’ The sincerity of their approach ‘ bypassing flashy design for good design ‘ shows in the quality of their work. The Carrie Portable LED Lantern (2016) was inspired by the Danish word hygge, a term that encapsulates the notion of creating a warm, cozy atmosphere to enjoy during winter months. Designed for versatility, this lightweight lamp with four-step dimmable LED array can be used indoors on a desk, at a table or by a bed, as well as carried outdoors during evening strolls. The cordless design comes with a concealed magnetic connector at its base for easy charging. The rechargeable lithium battery lasts up to five hours of continuous use. Bulb (included): LED 2W/2700K/384 lumens. Made in China.
